Jack Marrow returned today.

Not for a meeting. Not for an evaluation.

For Santa.

I noticed because Jack does not linger.

They spoke near the edge of the great hall.

No raised voices. No gestures.

Just Jack Marrow speaking quietly while Santa listened.

I did not hear everything.

I heard enough.

“Integrity is holding,”

Jack said.

“But pressure is increasing.”

📍 What He Was Checking

Jack referenced the Land of Misfit Toys specifically.

Containment stable. Influence contained.

Then he mentioned other stress points.

Not major holidays.

Smaller ones.

Observances. Commemorations. Calendar-adjacent celebrations looking for relevance.

I wrote:
Non-core holidays testing boundaries.

🎄 Santa’s Instruction

Santa did not interrupt.

When Jack finished, Santa said,

“Do what you can.”

Then, after a pause,

“Contain what doesn’t belong yet.”

Jack nodded.

No clarification was requested.

None was given.

👀 Being Seen

Jack noticed me watching.

He did not stop.

He did not warn me away.

He simply said,

“You’ll understand later.”

Then he was gone again.

The shadows followed.

💘 Cupid Was Not There

Cupid was absent for this exchange.

That felt intentional.

Whatever Jack was reporting was not meant for review.

It was meant for action.

I made a note:
Some work happens outside committees.

Jack Marrow did not return to the table.

He returned to the boundaries.

Which tells me something important.

The Holiday Alliance was never meant to stop what’s coming.

It was meant to decide what gets through.
