Today isn’t a holiday. It doesn’t have jurisdiction. And yet people treat it like it does. I’ve been watching what happens when fear creates its own celebration.

Most people think holidays start when decorations go up. They don’t. They start much earlier, in quiet rooms, with decisions no one ever sees. This is where the real work happens.

Movement doesn’t always mean crossing a line. Sometimes it means being allowed closer to it. Today, I was cleared to move—carefully, conditionally, and without an escort.

Christmas preparations continued as usual today. Smiles, schedules, rehearsals. Then Stupid asked me to follow him. He said Santa wanted me to see something. He was wrong about who wanted it—but not about the room.

I followed Jack Marrow today. Not openly. Not invited. What I found wasn’t a hallway or a room—it was a threshold. Some doors were sealed. Some were thinning. One was being prepared.
