📝 Day 99 — Containment or Transparency

Today someone finally asked the question out loud.

Not publicly. Not dramatically.

Just quietly, in a room that already knew the answer would be complicated.

📦 The Question

The inquiry came from a mid-level department that will remain unnamed.

They wanted to know whether the Holiday Alliance was meant to remain contained.

Or whether it was time to begin controlled disclosure.

The word transparency was used.

I underlined it and waited.

💘 Cupid Makes the Case

Cupid argued for messaging.

Carefully framed statements. Managed expectations. Strategic reassurance.

He said uncertainty spreads faster than truth.

That may be correct.

He did not mention what spreads faster than reassurance.

Power.

🎄 Santa Refuses the Binary

Santa listened.

Then he said,

“We are not containing anything.”

That caused concern.

Then he added,

“And we are not explaining it either.”

That caused silence.

He reminded the room that Christmas was still active.

“And while it is,” he said, “we will not introduce new questions.”

No one asked what happened when Christmas ended.

🐰 The Easter Bunny Worries Ahead

The Easter Bunny asked what this meant for other seasons.

Santa said,

“It means they will have opinions.”

The Bunny did not like that answer.

He began reorganizing his basket again.

This time by contingency.

🎃 Jack Marrow Sends No Word

There was no update from Jack Marrow.

No response.

No objection.

Which meant his position remained unchanged.

Outside the system.

Unaffected by it.

So the decision stands.

Nothing is being contained.

Nothing is being explained.

Christmas continues.

And everything else waits.

Tomorrow, the waiting starts to feel deliberate.
