he said, gesturing toward the draft poster pinned to the board.
He used the phrase public-facing readiness.
No one asked who the public was.
🎄 Santa Postpones It
Santa listened patiently.
Then he said,
“Teams earn photos.”
That was it.
No timeline. No criteria. No appeal process.
Cupid smiled and nodded.
The smile did not reach his eyes.
🎃 Jack Marrow Leaves Early
Jack Marrow did not stay for the rest of the discussion.
He extinguished his lantern.
The shadows relaxed.
And then he was gone.
No announcement.
No dismissal.
Just absence.

The Easter Bunny asked if postponing the photo meant progress was behind schedule.
