You Never Know Who Someone Knows

📅 July 6 ⏱️ 5 min read 🌱 What Healthy Actually Looks Like

If I'm being honest, I've never been the guy who loved networking events.

They've always felt a little forced to me.

I'd much rather have one genuine conversation than collect twenty business cards.

The longer we build this business, the more I realize that one meaningful relationship is worth more than a hundred introductions with no real connection.

When I look back over the last sixteen years, most of the opportunities we've had didn't come because I worked the room.

They came because we built one good relationship.

Then that relationship introduced us to another one.

And then another.

That's exactly what we're experiencing right now.

One recent car show happened because of a longtime customer and friend.

Another came through the son of someone we've known for years.

Now we're preparing for another event with people we're just beginning to get to know.

They're joining us on the Behind the X's & O's livestream.

They're sharing our posts.

And a new relationship is beginning.

Healthy relationships have a way of introducing you to other healthy relationships.

That's how communities grow.

Not because everyone knows everyone.

But because trust gets passed from one relationship to another.

I've realized something over the years.

I'm not trying to meet everybody.

I'm simply trying to take good care of the people God puts in front of me.

Some become customers.

Some become friends.

Some become both.

And every once in a while, one relationship opens a door I never could have planned for.

That's one of the things I love most about building a business.

You never know which conversation will lead to the next opportunity.

You never know which customer will become a friend.

You never know who someone knows.

The longer we build this business, the more I realize that the best opportunities usually don't arrive through perfect marketing.

They arrive through people who trust you enough to introduce you to someone else.

That's why I never want to treat people like transactions.

Because every relationship has value far beyond what I can see today.

You never know who someone knows.

More importantly, you never know what one genuine relationship might grow into.

What Healthy Actually Looks Like

Healthy businesses don't chase relationships for what they can get from them. They invest in people because people matter. Trust has a way of multiplying, and one genuine relationship often becomes the bridge to many more.

Because when you faithfully care for the people God places in front of you today, you never know what doors He may choose to open tomorrow.
